Six weeks is a calendar, not advice: the retake wait

The waiting period is not a study recommendation. It is a rule of HSPA's, and it means every candidate who did not pass has to spread the next attempt over at least 42 days whether they planned to or not.

That makes it the one moment in this process with a known start and a known end. The start is the day the result arrives; the end is the first day you can sit again. Nobody chooses the length. What you choose is what fills it.

The study plan on this site takes those 42 days as the unit. It weights effort by each domain's share of the exam crossed with where you say you were weak, puts a measured baseline on day 1, and measures again on day 21 and on day 38, leaving a few days to act on what the last one shows.

It also treats the domain report HSPA sends as a starting estimate, not a verdict, because HSPA itself says to read that report with caution. The first measured sitting replaces the estimate, and the plan follows your numbers from there.
